The Danish Animal Welfare Act
The Danish Animal Welfare Act exists to protect animals from pain, suffering, distress, permanent injury and significant harm. Anyone who keeps animals must treat them with care. This is the essence of the Danish Animal Welfare Act, which you can read in full here
Handle with care
The Danish Animal Welfare Society and the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) are working with other animal welfare organisations to put an end to the cruel and unnecessary long distance movement of animals for slaughter. The campaign is called “Handle with care” and was launched in early 2008. Read more about the campaign here
